I'm going to Sosua, Puerto Plata
Congratulations! You're going to "Fantasy Island" where the excitement and fun will be limitless. Many people come to Puerto Plata, Dominican Republic to experience the culture by mingling with the native Dominicans and Haitians, as well as the many expats that reside here or visit regularly. Let's face it, we all hear about the friendliness of the people, the beautiful beaches, the great accommodations and most importantly, this is not a trip that will break the bank! All of this is true!
So, here are some things to keep in mind. If you're reading this, you're more than likely going to be staying at Tropical Lotus Villa. If you are, you're in for some very special treatment. Keyla the Villa Manager, Willman and Josh who both handle transportation and Miguel who will take you to all the hot spots, will have you wanting to extend your trip. We have just about everything you need here, complimentary. You'll receive slippers, robes to use while here, breakfast (even if you didn't choose all inclusive) and many other things. I recommend the all inclusive package if you're coming.
We want you to have an unbelievable time here, so think about the following; Respect the laws of the Island, treat everyone with the utmost respect and please tip service workers. The workers here often make very little money, but are always eager to please visitors. Of course, like anywhere else in the World, you have to be mindful of your surrounding. Over the many years I've been coming here, I never saw one fight and I believe one time I heard of someone getting pick pocketed. The natives are very protective of visitors and they work hard to make your trip memorable.
Stay tuned for my next blog where I will tell you all the hot places to go for adventure and fun as well as the best places to eat.
